The cooling fan for the auto gearbox would not cut out - and consequently the battery died. I have been advised that disconnecting this fan will have no negative effect on the car - is this true. My fear is that this fan has something to do with the water cooling system.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, If the car did not need this fan it would not have been fitted, Try a newcut out switch.
There is more information about your cooling fan contained in this link than anywhere else in the world, looks like you need it to work...............
