Newish laptop with Vista installed, and using Windows Media Player.
I have audio, but no picture on my downloads, so I need some codecs , but which are best with Vista?
I've been told that installing Videolan would solve my codec problem, is that true, and is it compatable with Vista?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Videoan (VLC) is just another video player, to use instead of Media Player. But it plays more types of files, so is better.

Download it, it's good. And yes, it works with Vista.
