hi
im getting a Hard drive encloser, but not sure how they work, do they hav a usb in them so i just plug it in or do i need to get an adapter?

The enclosure will fit a certain type of drive -- SATA, etc.

Just make sure you buy the correct enclosure for the drive type you're going to be using it with.
USB is pretty much universal and is probably your safest bet.
with an older machine USB1.1 will also work ... but it's slower

to complicate matters futher

these days the connectors can be e-sata or firewire
unless you know - avoid them
