Ciggies - how many?

How many can be brought back from abroad......do they have to be declared at customs?

Have seen really old people around the world still smoking.

ive seen more Women smoking than men here and i think its ugly. dunno if ya a f or a m. but .... smoking? what do u get out of it :) i really cant stand the stuff, hate it wen u walk behide a smoker soo annoying. but i have to hope.

i really hope u stop smoking and spend it on something useful.

If I were re-born maybe I could live without them...too late now.

Initially I began smoking to ward off sea-sickness on a long voyage long ago.

The best I can do is work as much as possible where I can't smoke.....which is what I do. I do have a bus-pass (can't smoke there though) and am not after a birthday card from the Queen!

We have had a smoking ban for a while here, hate it when you have to walk through a sea of smoke,because the bingo hall is next door to the entrance of my shopping centre, not nice when 50+pensioners are gathered together like a penguin huddle!!!!!

Some people can't stop taking sugar, even though it rots them from inside.

Or salt, or chocolate, or fast food, despite the scary stats about obesity and heart attacks.

So ... no criticism from me, terambulan.

There is no limit to the number of cigarettes you can bring in from another EU country if duty was paid in that country, and they are for your own use.

HM Revenue & Customs guidelines say that you might be stopped and questionned (are they really for personal use?) if you are carrying more than 3,200 cigarettes.

Now ... has anyone else posted this while I've been typing ??

If I had'nt given up smoking when I did, I'd be dead now aged 37 in February.
Try giving up and don't stop trying to give up, I was cured of smoking by buying a carton of Spanish Lambert and Butler pure cancer in a packet, I have'nt looked back since....

Ethel...smoking used to be known as 'sophisticated' but that's an opinion.....today its a bad habit that I love (tis the rebel in me).

Thanx JJayne....I usually fill a suitcase and since they're Turks make L&M tis allowed thru Dalaman. They last me till the next hols. 50p for 20 cigs. If confiscated, I can afford to try again!

I stopped in 1994, and every time they go up I cheer.

If I were still smoking it would cost me �11 per day - �4015 per year, plus the extra ones I smoked when in the pub or socialising.

That's a lot of money to be burning.
