sophos antivirus error

hey. recently my sophos antivirus has stopped working. I get this error every time i try to open it: sophos antivirus has encountered a problem and needs to close. Unknown error 0xA0020001. does anyone know what the problem could be and how i could fix it? cheers

hi there, i used to have sophos antivirus but kept getting the message cannot connect to the server hence the fact my antivirus was never up to date which i found out after i got a nasty virus. i didnt know it wasnt working properly because it did scan but only up until the date it stopped connecting to the server. i know this isnt your problem but it might help you there are loads of good free ones available to download on the internet.

not sure how reliable Sophos is really.
