I would say plasma for anything 37" upwards. LCD quality isn't as good for larger screens. So my brother keeps telling me anyway!

You need to go and look at both - pick the one you like best.

my brother has recently got a 42" Panasonic plasma and i have yet to see an LCD of any size that can compare picture wise
