I have a 32" Lcd tv which I bought about 2 years ago and the past two days the picture keeps `freezing`. Do you think it`s due to SKY as ordinary channels seem ok?

Not quite sure what you mean - does it just stop and start again, or stay stopped. If it's the former, then this can happen with digital signals - the signal is transmitted in blocks of data, so what you end up with is bits of the old picture, and gobbledegook where it has been refreshed by the new signal.
I have Sky through satellite dish and sometimes the channels do freeze, much as Postdog describes, especially in stormy or windy weather. Worst are the normal BBC and ITV channels when through the skybox. Very irritating.
