With dvd recorders so cheap today, you can do it yourself very easily in the privacy of your home.

A neighbour has used such a service and was pleased with the results but it was quite expensive - the advertised price was per half hour or some such,
I wouldn't even attempt doing it yourself when the price is so cheap. I think a fiver is stretching it. I suggest you go for a more professional company in the 10 to 15 market. I used this company http://www.video-to-dvd.co.uk and they do VHS here http://www.video-to-dvd.co.uk/transfer/vhs_to_ dvd_or_avi.html also there is a bigger company here http://www.vt.tv good hunting.
