Linking up LCD TV to other stuff

I currently have an old portable TV that is wired up to my video and Telewest box. I have had a LCD TV and DVD player sitting for over a year as I knew that I would get myself into a mess wiring them all up.

I want to have both the video and the DVD player so is there a 'correct' order in which to link them?

TV -> video -> DVD player -> telewest receiver?

Any help appreciated.

bez - glad there is another confused person in the world. My new TV and DVD player have never been used and I just couldn't face trying to wire them up.

Last time I got so frustrated that I ended up bursting out crying and had to go out for chocolate to make myself feel better.

hi,
The key is to tell us how many scarts your tv has. If it's only got one then you may need a scart switcher unit to give you the best combinations, but if it has two or more then you're sorted. one option is (assuming telwest is a single tuner unit)

Telewest VCR out into vcr
TV out into scart1
DVD out into tv scart 2
Aerial loop from digi box into vcr into tv

Or you could try this connection wizard
