I have a wireless router it is a bit old, I think first gen 8.xxx whatever, it doesn't have antennae poking out. I live in a big house and I like using my computer upstairs, but the connection drops off about once per hour, and if I move the PC it improves a bit. No such problems near the router. Any ideas? Worth upgrading? Do later protocols/models get through old walls better? Or no better at all. Thanks.

Also, regarding the connection dropping, could you tell me wheth
