Does anyone know how to unblock a printer head ? I have not used my H.P. printer for 5 months, it will only print black and pinks, It should have plenty of ink in as I fitted new cartridges just before last use. A big kiss for the best answer !
P.S. I have tried the clean and purge options 3 times

the only HP printers I've owned have the print head integral with the ink cartridge.Remove the cartridge(s) Gently dab the underside( with the copper surface) with a moistened tissue. With a bit of luck that will soften the dried ink and do the trick. You may have to do this over several minutes.Alternatively buy some cartridge cleaning fluid and do the same thing
I did "free up" an HP cartridge once by sitting the base of it in about 1/4" of warm water for about 5-10 mins. They can get pretty caked up if not used for a long time. Good luck!
I had a black only HP printer and it was a pain. It only worked well when I changed to Calidad brand refills. The genuine ink blocked up every time I used it.

After soaking you can try blowing into the vent holes on the top. Dab a tissue on the nozzles and if the ink flow is not even, cover the free flowing parts with your finger while you blow.

I used to moisten the nozzles with metho which was much more effective than water. If you havn't used it for months I wold go straight to the metho.

Small HP inkjets are crap and very expensive to run since the heads are integral with the cartridge. This "feature" is just plain stupid. I had a much better run from a Canon but you would be much better off buying a laser printer which is far cheaper to run.
