I have a video file that cant be played. I think its something I recorded at a gig a while back but can't play it. Is there anything I can run it through to see if I can get working again?

there are utils for fixing corrupt movies ... but maybe an easier way is gom player

How would I repair it to send it someone for bootlegging purposes?

dunno on the second part - you don't give the file type ... and I don't have experience with this type of media fixing

try googling fix mpeg or fix avi file

Oh brilliant, just found the capture mode on it to get stills too.
