canon versus nikon

Hi everyone, I currently have a Canon 350d and I am wondering if a Nikon D50 is worth trading it in for....will my photographs be that much better? I am going to be wanting to use it for paid work.

i am in intirigued as i have a 350D, what will the Nikon do that the Canon cannot? I have no problem with the quality of the Canon, Generally Its the time spent at the rear of the viewfinder that produces the good results

If it ain't broke why fix it. I've had great experiences from Nikon, have only always used this make.
