Synergy is a brand name used by BT to market these phones. There are a range of different models, so the features vary according to the model.
But common to all of them is the ability to take the phone anywhere around the house and garden, and to have several of them located around the house, but only the 'master' phone needing to be actually connected to a phone line.
I have a trio of model 4500, and they are fine. BT don't actually make them - they come from China. Argos is one place to buy them reasonably competitively, with a no quibble return policy if you don't like.

Synergy is a model of phone made by BT, they're pretty much similar to all other digital phones in terms of features.

As it's a digital signal transfer the quality is a lot better than an old wireless phone. You can buy packs of more than one handset where the second or third handsets do not need a phone socket, they all receive their signal from the main base unit.

Newer models have a slot for your mobile SIM card to allow you to copy your numbers over so you can see who is calling you.

Depending on what you want your phone to do, any of the Synergy 4xxx models are pretty good and easy to set up
