What happens? Are you trying to copy one of their scrambled programs that deliberately stop you copying?

Usual programmes, Emmerdale etc. for my wife to watch in bed and leave me free for the sport downstairs!
Run a Scart lead from Sky+ box to DVD recorder. Run another from the DVD recorder to the TV.

Now the Sky signal has to go through the DVD recorder to be shown on the TV.

You now need to switch the DVD recorder channel so it is set to whatever is coming IN via the Scart from the Sky+ box.

These DVD Scart connections are known as "external" connections so you may need to switch the channel on the DVD to EXT1 or EXT (or maybe AV1 or AV2).

For example I leave my Panasonic DVD recoder channel permanently on AV2 so the Sky signal comes into the DVD recorder via one Scart, and out of the DVD recorder by the other Scart.

So I set the Sky+ box to "play" and the DVD recorder to "record" and it should record whatever is coming in via the Scart (assuming you have the DVD channel set to AV1 or AV2)

Many thanks. When I get over the blues - my team just got hammered - I will give it a try. Although I think the scart leads are already connected like that. I'll swap channels and see what that does. Thanks again
