While putting a form together in Microsoft Word, my husband has managed to 'lose' the font, size, bold, italic, underline, ranged left, centred etc boxes from the top toolbar. He says that when he tried to click the bold box to go back to normal print, it wouldn't let him. A drop down menu with 'undo' on appeared and he says he clicked on undo thinking it would sort the problem out. Could any of you please tell me what I need to do to get all the boxes back? I would be very grateful and it will save mr coggles getting a slap! Thank you.

Coggles, try clicking on 'view', scroll to 'toolbars' and then tick check 'formatting'. It worked for me when I just tried it, so hope it does for you! Oh, and slap him anyway for being so careless!!!! :-D
For any computer queries not answered to your liking, or not answered at all, try this forum: http://www.just2good.co.uk/ They seem to be able to answer anything. OK.

I have found that all my questions have been answered perfectly well on this site, can't speak for others though.

Thank you for your answers everyone. Flirty, unfortunately that didn't sort the problem. I got a drop down menu to change type etc, but it didn't bring back boxes to toolbar. Dappycow, I tried that site and it didn't have the info I needed. Kerplunk, I agree with you. I have always had lots of valued help from the very kind and clever ABers. I hope that I can resolve the problem soon as we use M. Word for my husbands work and I need to get it sorted. Any more suggestions would be very welcome. Thank you once again for your help everyone.
Perhaps he has accidently dragged the Formatting toolbar somewhere else on the screen. It will stay wherever it is dragged until it is manually moved elsewhere. This may sound daft but check behind the task bar at the bottom of your screen. (Try auto hiding the task bar or just drag it out of the way).
Just another thought. On any of the toolbars visible find the button that looks like a little down arrow (If you hover over it it says something like toolbar options). If you left click it and then choose add or remove buttons you should get another side menu which lists all your active toolbars. Formatting should be there, and if you click on it you can see which buttons are supposed to be showing, and add any that aren't. If this fails, try dragging the formatting toolbar elsewhere on the screen to ensure the buttons aren't just hidden somewhere.
'View', 'toolbars', 'customize' then for example 'edit' will allow you to add copy and paste etc. and 'format' will allow you to select bold, italic etc.

Thank you all for your help with this Unfortunately, after trying all suggestions, I still couldn't get all the boxes back on the toolbar. I googled and found a site called Linda's Computer Stop (and no, I haven't got shares and not related or anything). I followed some instructions which allowed me to get in the Word folder, Data and Export Registry File to my desktop. That reinstated everything and then I deleted it from the desktop once everything was fine. Thank you all once again for you help with this.
