Have just bought a USB flash drive. Stuck it in the port and Windows (XP) installed it successfully. Device manager says it's working fine. The only thing Windows hasn't done is created a drive for it in My Computer/Removable Storage. The manual for the USB drive seems to suggest that this should be automatic. Can I do it manually?

it's OK guys forget it. the silly thing had decided it was going to be the E drive even though i already had a network drive mapped to E. it didn't even change the name or the icon or move the icon from 'network drives' to 'removable storage'. tsk.
