Ias it safe for me to send my bank details by email, to france inorder for someone to pay into my account

You would not think twice about giving a cheque to anybody - the bank details you need to send are exactly the same as can be found on your cheques - without your signature.

It is perfectly safe.
I beg to differ. E-mail is not secure and can be hacked into. A cheque in a sealed envelope is rather different. I wouldn't do it personally but it's up to you whether you think the risk is worth taking.
Yes that is true - but the only thing anyone can do with those details is pay money in.

I have those details on my ebay listings for years.
I work in IT security, let me give you a good rule of thumb.

Never put anything in unecrypted email that you would not put on a postcard and put in the post.

If you'd be happy sending it that way then E-mail's fine.
Yeah it doesnt matter even if someone did read the email, they cantdo anything with just your account number except pay money in
