How come when I take a print screen of a paused video and paste it into Paint it disappears when I close the video down?

P.S. I know Paint is basic but I'm just messing around here...

More than likely because windows uses a tempory folder to store that info on the clipboard, If you saved it first then that info will be written and not reliant on the clipboard.
The full answer is qite complex .... just accept that is how it is.

the way to do it is to use a viewer which supports snapshots (try googling media player classic)
KM Player is nice, and allows snapshots. http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/index.php

Thanks ACT, I'm satisfied that there's a complex answer which I suspected...so it's not just me!
The 'complex' bit is to do with overlays. As ACT says, you need a specific program - quite often comes with a DVD drive eg. WInDVD, which has a 'snapshot' facility. Sometimes, your graphics card might have software to do it.
