hi some one had a go at up grading my sis computer but they didnt have a clue now all she gets is a message saying ntldr missing tryed putting boot disk in but get same message anyone help please thanx

First of all read this

it could be a file problem or it could be that the BIOS has been set up incorrectly.

Try and access the BIOS and see if the hard drive is being recognised and that the boot sequences are correct.

What was the "Friend" trying to rectify and what areas did he change
ntldr is a file used to start the operating system during the boot process(NT loader). I would asume that your chum messed up the upgrade. what was on the pc before?
Try whacking the cd in the computer and do an 'over the top' reinstallation. this saves all settings and files but just rewrites the system files to fix a windows installation
