Has anybody used any programmes to tranfer vinyl to CD. If so is it east, what programme did you use (buy)
and what were the results like

I would like to copy some records on CD if cost effective. Any recommendations greatly appreciated

You can spend hundreds of pounds on this type of software, however, there is a free one here http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about/

I have heard good things about this software.

Thank you for your help.
It's a lot more straightforward to use your record
player connected into a CD recorder. No computers
or software needed. Simple.
If you find Audacity a bit daunting (some do!), and you don't mind paying - this is one of the best:-

You might also find an earlier version in the supermarkets or PC World for �9.99.
I Have been using Audacity for ages & I find it excellent.I run a lead from my Audio Player (Stereo headphone outlet )to the LINE In input on my computer. My old 33/45 record deck is fed to my Audio Player via an Audio Pre-Amp which you can get from any decent Hi-Fi retail outlet.( I also transfer Audio Tapes the same way. Hope you are successful.WR.
