OGG is this audio file format becoming popular?

Have noticed in Audacity that is has an option to save as OGG. Is this file format popular?

It is starting to get more popular due to its increased quality over its rivals such as mp3 at lower bit rates. At the end of the day, which ever file format you use and there are many (mp3 pro, AAC etc) just make sure it does the job you want it to. Not many portable players use OGG so if thats your intended use for your music files then check first, apart from that why not give it a try and see how you like it.

Also try http://www.vorbis.com I do believe they created the format, and unlike mp3 it's open.
