Hey, i'm using Win media player to play one of my dvds, i want to take a screen shot and make it into a picture, but when i use print screen the picture goes all wierd. It's like the area where the video should be is just a window to the dvd which is still open, if it's still playing, so is the picture! Is there any way to get around this with windows media player, or any free player that screenshots will work with? Thanks! (Oh and btw, putting hardware accelleration to none doesn't help)

If you are using media player to watch DVD's you must have some king of DVD codec installed on the machine. Check, as it could be pre-installed by the computer supplier. Most codecs don't support screen capture from a DVD playback (copyright laws) but WINDVD does. if this is your codec then you could have the WINDVD playback software installed. There is a capture button in the application
