I need to find out who is ringing me - all I have is there mobile number. Can I trace them just using their mobile phone number?

Other than ringing them and asking who they are, there is no way of tracing who the number belongs to.

You could try typing the number into Google, if it is a Company they may have published the number on a website somewhere.

As far as I know, if the caller becomes a 'pest', then you can get the calls logged and traced, it takes a while, but it can be done.

Of course, this only provides the details of the person the phone was originally registered to. For example, I could lose my phone tomorrow, somebody could find it and commence making nuisance calls (although I could block the phone based on the IMEI).

However, in most cases the numbers are registered to the actual owner.

You really need to contact your provider, be it BT, or mobile...

They claim to be able to reverse search UK based mobile numbers and landline numbers.

Poinsy makes a really good point about calling BT or your provider, that would probably be the best best, although that would take some time.
