my volumne icon has gone off my task bar but when i co to control panel and sound and devices ther is a tick to say it is in the taskbar any ideas x

Just make sure its not hidden, if you dont use an icon in the notification area for a while it becomes hidden, click the little arrow pointing to the left and see if it appears.

If not right click the start button an dclick properties, then taskbar. Click customise and you will be able to select whether you want the icons to be hidden or not

found it did it still dont work aaaaahhhhhhh

Go back to control panel and remove the tick.
Restart your computer.
Back into control panel and put the tick back.
It should appear then.

guess what turned it off went back on it and it has now gone
