Error messages on Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5

I am using Ulead's DVD MovieFactory 5 and when I get to the point of actually burning a DVD I keep getting this error message ...... Power callibration failure ....... - what does this mean and why does it keep happening - I can't burn a disk at the moment. I know there is nothing wrong with my external DVD burner because I can use it with no problems using Nero. Any ideas please?
