Please please help, I am at my wits end.I had a load of music files that I downloaded from Limewire and they go into my music file, but I accidently deleted them from the Limewire library and they have also gone from my music files. They haven't gone into the recycle bin, I have restored my computer to an earlier time but they didn't come back. Can they have just gone permanently from my computer or can they be hidden somewhere?
I am feeling suicidal at the moment as I had some great tunes and it will take me hours and hours to download them again.Hope you can help.

Feeling suicidal is a bit extreme.

However, have you tried using the search box in your start menu? Type a track title in and see if anything is found.
You can search for all mp3 files on your PC by going to Start > Search and entering
*.mp3
as the search string.

I am pretty sure that the Limewire "Library" is just a link to the directory or folder you are downloading to.
If you have deleted this you have also deleted the files on your computer.
Try the Recycle Bin quick !
Bad news I'm afraid. I have just tried it on a file in the library and it seems to do as the help file says:-

Deleting from the Limewire Library
The "Delete" button deletes the selected file(s) from your hard drive. Using this button will PERMANENTLY delete the file(s) from your computer.
I hate to say it but I think your music left on the last thing smokin and never to return. I just opened Limewire, went to the library, and deleted a song from there and it too disappeared from the folder it was downloaded to. I tried a search only to get catastrophic results. IT WAS GONE FOREVER.
That is what I just said isnt it ?
Yes it is but I was obviously in the middle of posting that response when you posted yours.
Sorry !!!!

Thanks to all of you, you have confirmed what I suspected.Ah well, we learn by our mistakes. Not feeling as suicidal today as I've accepted that it was my own fault and I will have to do it all again :-(
Back to the drawing board, or the computer in this case !
