Whenever I download a video clip, eg, from youtube,it seems to take forever. The clip plays for exactly 2 seconds and then pauses for about 10 seconds. However, once the clip has got to the end ,I can watch it at normal speed again and again. I am on dial-up. Does this happen to any one else and can it be cured ?

Video clips need a lot of resources and dial up is too slow to cope.

Once you have watched a clip once, it is in your cache - you are watching repeats, so to speak, and is not downloading. That is why you can watch it at normal speed.

The only cure is to get broadband.
