how can i empty my junk email it wont let me delete or empty it in the trash can....

It depends what system you are using. If you use Outlook On XP you can right click the 'Junk Email' folder you get an option 'Empty Junk Email Folder' and then another box comes up asking if you are sure. Click yes and it's empty.

Messages more than 5 days old are automatically deleted from the Junk E-Mail folder in Hotmail.
