I have been told no, but not from a reliable source. Thanks in advance

Should do , I presume all simms are the same dimensions, or alternatively buy an unlocked phone then you can put any sim card in it

paul n90 and thegamer thank you both for your answers,
the gamer= i understand a contract phone will accept a payg sim,.... but i have been told it will not work the other way round,= contract sim in a payg phone ( that came from a person who claims he worked for vodaphone).....i cant understand if my contract phone battery went flat i wouldn't be able to use the sim in a payg phone! sounds strange to me.
If the phone is still under warranty, why not return it. If it isn't, then you must have had the contract for more than 12mnths and should be eligible for a phone upgrade at a price far less than a decent PAYG phone.
Whichever, contact Vodaphone and get a deal out of them.
None of them want to lose custom.
