Have bought T mobile phone (PAYG), but want it on Orange. Spent whole weekend trying to get through to Orange, but kept on hold as they are "very busy". Have been given an unlocking number and have typed this in. What else do I have to do? Took phone in to Carphone Warehouse and also to my original supplier. Both were unable to help me. Any suggestions, that do not cost the earth, would be welcome.

Eventually got through to Orange (in India!) and after 20 minutes of misunderstanding, I found out that my new phone was incompatible with the orange network, which sounds strange. I'll have to return it to the shop
