when i log into paypal to pay for something I have bought on ebay, I get immediately taken to a screen that tells me to add a card (I already have my card added to the paypal account)

When i re-enter my details it tells me the card is already registered (which it is). I cannot find any way round this screen, there is nothing to get me into my paypal account.

i have emailed paypal but they have not got back to me yet, anyone have any other suggestions?

I had a similar problem so appreciate how frustrating it is. I emailed both ebay and paypal with pathetic type begging letters asking to speak to a person. They initially just sent me the same instructions that had appeared on the screen when the details failed, so... you send them back their own instructions saying 'this is a genuine problem and I need help otherwise I wouldn't have contacted you, please read my mail!'. It prompts them to read your email and you will hopefully get some form of sense out of them, though for me it meant I had to give bank details and wait a week for them to verify it. Sadly, they then badger you to fill in some customer feed back form, as if they have done you some sort of a favour. Good luck.
When I had this problem it was because my card had expired and I just needed to amend the card details.
cant you just send funds from your bank account ? thats what i do.
