Should I upgrade to Pentium Dual Core Duo?

I bought my PC around about a year ago - Packard Bell Imedia 1508. As soon as I got it, I upgraded the memory to 2gig.

Would it be worth the money upgrading the processor from a Pentium 4 3.06Ghz to the Dual Core Duo or waiting until the processors are running spot on? - Just heard rumours that the Pentium 64bit processors arent very good.

What do you think?

Cheers - Happy Christmas!

Only upgrade if you need the upgrade. If you do lots of heavy work that could use the dual processors, then by all means change.

Note that the windows you're using isn't 64-bit anyway, so it's completely pointless using a 64-bit processor right now.
