Why is it that I can't save some web pages? I'm trying to save a particular web page into a folder in my documents, I have saved other web pages into this folder no trouble, but this with particular page I get 'web page could not be saved to selected location'. Also why does it wait until it is 85% saved before deciding it cannot be saved?

Apparently you get this message if the web page you are attempting to save references a style sheet ( or similar ) located on a different server from the original page. This is a security measure built in to IE 6 SP1. I don't believe there is anything you can do to get around this.
Couldn't you simply cut-and-paste the HTML source?

Well I know html stands for hypertext mark-up language, but I'm not sure what the source is or indeed how I find it. And does this save the whole page, ie images, diagrams etc?
To see the HTML source right click the mouse over the page and select the 'View Source' menu item. You can then cut and paste the HTML to where ever you want. It won't save the images ( or the style sheets ) only the references to them ( so you won't see the images unless your online - which sort of defeats the purpose of the exercise ).
If you really want the page how about capturing the page with screen capture and have it as a graphic?

Thanks for all answers, found a program called surfsaver which may solve the problem.
