Which digital camera..?

i am just about to by my first digital camera,Now i have always trusted the sony brand. The models i am looking at are the Sony Cybershot DSC-W100 and the Sony DSC N1 8 MP Digi Camera,Which model is the better one and why...? thanx

After the rootkit fiasco, I wouldn't trust Sony as far as I could throw them.
That apart, if you buy a Sony, you will be stuck with buying Sony memory sticks and pay through the nose for the privilege.
Personally I would go for a manufacturer which specializes in photographic products such as Nikon, Canon etc, not a Jack of all trades like Sony.
