I have a canon ixus 800is digital camera for which I have been using a Kingston SD/2GB memory card.I have bought a 4GB card (which is SDHC) but the camera won't accept it - message comes up "memory card error card locked". I have tried it with the tiny switch on the side of the card up and down but same result. Looks like HDSC not compatible with my camera?

The camera accepts SD only, max of 2GB.
I'm surprised you didn't check before you bought the card
