Is it possible to download different fonts to use with Hotmail? Also, can I have a sound played to notify me of new mail?

Hotmail is not 'skinnable' so you will have to use the fonts that Microsoft choose.

You can download something from here to solve the Notification of email problem.

Or run MSN / Windows Messenger that will also do this.
