I can delete individual pictures from the camera but is it possible to delete all the photos from the camera at once? I have loaded all the photos on the computer so need to delete them from the camera. Thanks

You have downloaded all the photos to your computer, but have you backed them up to CD or DVD ?

What if you delete them from your camera, then your hard disk crashes (it does happen) or computer is stolen.

Do you have your pictures backed up anywhere else ?

In the settings on the camera, there'll be an option to format the memory card. Do that, and all your files will be erased.

yes, I have backed them up on CD and an external hard drive.

thanks, I went to the settings and the format section and have deleted all pictures at once.

It was taking me ages to delete one by one and i was sure there was an easier way to delete all.

I delete all my pics from camera via PC, I just access my camera through >my computer< it shows with the other drives as a removable disc or similar, open that and you can access your camera to copy or delete pics
