NOD32 and Kaspersky are two very good ones, neither are free.

Two good free alternatives are AVG Free and Avast.

Make sure you're getting an anti-virus scanner as well as a firewall too though. Kaspersky has its internet security app that does both. AVG Free and Avast are just anti-virus scanners.

You'll also want a spyware scanner, like Adaware Personal (free too).

Freeware is the way to go.Zonealarm,AVG adaware and SpywareGuard for Realtime protection.(Which isnt as annoying as Spybot.)

i had norton and i wasnt happy with it, it blocked access to some forums(im sure it did) so i got rid of it, ive got some freeware of the net and the pc runs much better tahn it did
