My CD drive on the computer will not open!

There is a CD in the drive but for some reason It refuses to eject it. No amount of prodding will open the drive. Help!

there should be a tiny round hole on the front of the drive, use a unfolded paper clip or something similar and poke in the hole, this should make it eject
try opening 'my computer' - right click on the cd rom drive and click 'eject' - hope it works!

Hi, thanks for your answers so far. I have tried the my computer route - doesn't work. There does not appear to be a tiny hole either. The front of the drive is perfectly flat - I can open the flap but the actual drive remains stubbornly shut. I have even shone a torch into it but definately no little hole. The computer is only 6 months old - made to order. I am a bit worried that if I switch off I will not be able to switch it back on again because of the CD still in the drive.
hmm well id say it will probably rectify itself if you restart
Or as they say if all else fails, use a hammer.
