is there a way to change all letters in a word or sentence to capital letters from lower case or vice versa? apart from deleting and then pressing capitals and retype. thanks

Yes there is. It can be done very easily but different word processors use differet commands.

Which word processor are you using?
In Word if you Select All and go to the formatting pallette, under font there is a little icon showing a lowercase 'a', an arrow and an upper case'A'.
Guess what it does?
Bingo!
On Microsoft Works you highlight the line then go to Format ,Font and click All Caps box. I don't think you can do it the other way though on Works, but not sure.
Highlight text
Press 'format' option
Press 'Change Case'.

That should do it!
