i have deleted a lot of rubbish
to the recycle bin
it has gone from my desk top
how can i get it back

do you mean that you want to get something out of the recycle bin? If so just open the recycle bin all the stuff will be shown, you can right click and choose "restore"

open windows explorer and d-click on 'desktop'. Is the recycle bin listed in the right window? if so it probably hidden under another icon on your desktop screen? Try right clicking on empty desk top area and use refresh or one of the arrange icons options.
