Convert mp3 file to itunes podcast directory

I have converted a hour-long interview I taped off the radio from cassette to a mp3 file. My question is, is there a way of putting this onto the podcast directory in itunes?
prev Medium wave radio five on car radio....bad reception why?

Right-click the file and change the genre to podcast. That may make it work.

But anyway, it's just an audio file and not a podcast...

Yes, You can convert Mp3 to pocast.. Audacity can do this...
