I downloaded a music video but it doesn't play, it won't delete and when i right click it the option to delete does not even come up... only the option to play. I have tried to delete it using CCleaner but it wont let me as it just says it does not exsist and yet the video icon says it is 9mb. so how do i get rid of the damn thing?

Sorry if this is a silly idea but have you tried simply left clicking it and then pressing delete on the keyboard?

Haha..no it was not a silly answer but yes i tried it and nothing happens just like anything else i do. it seems to be like a ghost programme
Try creating a new folder. Drag & drop the file to the folder. Then delete the folder.

Chris
Try renaming the folder then try to delete (eg: if it was the Beatles then rename it to Beatlesdelete, or Beatles_ditch)

Eh, I have nothing against the beatles actually!
Whenever I have something I'd like to delete but can't I reboot the comp into Safe Mode and try again. That usually works, then simply reboot again.

it won't drag, it won't delete, it won't play, it won't rename.... i guess it will have to stay
Try a (free) program called "unlocker". Normally works for me.
Have you used CCleaner to scan for issues. This will normally detect any missing files or obsolete files.
I just thought, try Ad-aware. This is great for finding missing files and problems.
