i just had a call fm someone ahem from oxfam telling me about some earthquake that wasnt covered in the news wanting 10 quid a month from me i refused cause he had no way of proving his identity over the phone

just wondering if anyone else has had this call and is it a scam cause i think it is

also is there any FREE sites you can register your number on to stop these *******

definitely a scam, never send money to a charity unless it is through a genuine source, and check it out first. and if you are in doubt send them nowt::

TPS will prevent most genuine sales calls but won't prevent scammers who just ignore it and call anyone they want.

Stilll worth registering though.
