No of course you can.

New iPod may be coming out in a month or two. Apple are very quiet about new releases, but sometimes there is a new product unveiled at the WWDC which starts August 7.

To get songs from PC to laptop, goto "c:\documents and settings\[username]\my documents\my music\itunes" and copy everything in there (there should be a few files in there and an itunes Music folder), onto a CD or DVD. Then just install iTunes on your new laptop and copy all your files into the same place on your laptop, overwriting anything. upon opening iTunes on your laptop, your music should all be there.
You can try Tansee iPod Transfer which can backup songs and videos in iPod to PC, copy iPod songs and videos to new ipod, computer or notebook.
