I have received from a reliable source these files that I can't open says I need to download power point .Can someone please explain not too technical please how to go about this.Thanks.

Power Point is part of the Microsoft Office Suite which is quite expensive. try "Open office" which is free and see if they have a viewer that is compatible with Power Point presentations.
Right, there�s a word in that link that the filter here doesn�t like!

Just click on that link and put �powerpoint viewer 2003� into the search box at the top.

ok thanks for that info have had a look now waiting for my son to come over to take it from there .
OK Wendilla, the viewer is free to download and is less than 2MB but you can�t create or edit - just view - but that�s all you need.
Don�t download Powerpoint itself or you�ll have to pay!

Thanks again .I presume I would just need to download it just to view these files then remove it.
You can remove it if you want to, but you may as well keep it for future use - that way if anybody sends you any powerpoint files it�ll open them automatically.
