Hi
Having just got a new PC with XP home to replace my old XP PC, I now have to click on my name every time I boot up. This is driving me mad !! How can I get rid of this annoying feature ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tried what you suggested but only get two options, neither of which goes straight to the welcome/desktop.

Download Tweak UI from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/p owertoys/xppowertoys.mspx install and run it. When it opens expand the Logon link (click the +) then click on Autologon, type in your user name and, if you have a password set, click the Set Password button, type in your password and OK your way out. From now on every time you boot it will automatically log you into this account - not a good idea if there are multiple users (family members etc) with accounts on this computer.
