I want to show someone who has very bad eyesight some pictures. As I have the pictures electronically (in jpg format) is there a way i can get them onto a DVD to show on a television. Is it a matter of just burning a DVD with the pictures or do I need them in another format??

It depends if your DVD player can show JPEG or not, it should have a sticker on the front letting you know.
If your DVD player will play jpegs all you need do is save the pictures onto a normal CD. As you would if you were backing up your files.

My DVD will play them as a slideshow too I don't have to do anything special.
You could also try something like Proshow Gold.
