A system restore is just a reinstall of a previous version of Windows from a certain date that was created on your PC.


If the back up file you restore from also has the virus you will not get rid of it.


It is best to identify the virus and use the correct method to get rid of it.

type the name of the virus into google and look for a removal tool or instructions for removal.

alot of viruses will actually attack the system retsore files so that you can not restore back.
